After the site is prepared the way that best meets the plan, the area will be graded, the base aggregate installed, and a storm water management plan laid out, if necessary. The graded base is compacted with an 8-ton vibratory drum compaction roller, which assures maximum compaction. Once the foundation has reached optimum density, the asphalt installation will take place.
Geotextiles, a paving “fabric”, can be used to stabilize the sub-base as well as provide a cost savings when compared to stone.
