Ivarson, Inc. contacted us in the spring of 2019 to replace their entire asphalt parking lot. Due to trucking traffic and heavy volume, asphalt thickness was designed thicker in he driving areas as opposed to the parking stalls. We refer to to these areas as “Heavy Duty” and “Light Duty” traffic areas. While removing the asphalt it was discovered that the sub base required undercuts in order to remove the unstable base and replace with newly compacted stone. In the spirit of completing the project correctly, it was agreed to proceed with stabilizing the base before paving. Overall, this was a very successful project which produced a happy customer.
